
Since joining ChildFund Australia as CEO in 2006, Nigel has overseen the expansion of its child-focused development programs in Cambodia, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea and Laos, as well as continuing aid and development work through ChildFund Alliance partners in Africa, Asia and the Americas. Nigel has a long history of working with vulnerable and marginalised children, both in Australia and internationally. Prior to his role at ChildFund, he was CEO of the Association of Children's Welfare Agencies (ACWA), and Director of Children and Youth Services with Centacare, Catholic Community Services, Sydney.

Mark's work in international development and social justice began with two years in the Peace Corps in Ecuador. During the following 20 years, he has held a range of leadership roles in Colombia, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and Ethiopia, where he served as acting regional representative for ChildFund International. Most recently, Mark was the executive director of UUSC, a human rights and social justice organisation in the United States.

Carol has over 20 years' experience in international development. This includes in-country assignments in countries such as Botswana, East Timor and Cambodia, and managing program work in Afghanistan, India, Nepal and Vietnam. Carol has significant management, program development, strategic planning and advocacy experience. She holds a Master's degree in Development and is a specialist in child protection and child rights, as well as quality programming.

Chris has worked in Central and South East Asia, with extensive experience in Afghanistan and Laos, as well as shorter assignments in a number of other countries. He has experience primarily in the education and livelihoods sectors, working on projects both at the national and local level. He also has a keen interest in the use of sport for development of children and youth in their communities. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and a Master's degree in Rural Development, and has worked with a range of international NGOs, including CARE, Concern and World Vision.

Manish has over 14 years of experience in development, including five years in Papua New Guinea. He supports a rights-based approach and working in partnership with communities. Manish has extensive program development and management experience, having worked with a number of NGOs in India and abroad, including VSO and Rural Litigation and Entitlement Kendra (RLEK), and managing programs and projects funded by UNDP, CORDAID, International Fund for Agriculture Development and the World Bank. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a focus on development issues.

Deborah has worked extensively in South East Asia, primarily in the education sector in Cambodia and as ActionAid's country director for Indonesia. She has significant experience working in conflict and emergencies, including responding to the South Asia tsunami in 2004, Pakistan earthquake of 2005 and Cyclone Nargis in 2008. Deborah has managed a range of programs in indigenous Australia, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and was most recently the international programs director at ActionAid Australia. Deborah has a background in economics, languages and politics, holds a Master's degree in International Development, has studied Organisational Change at Harvard Business School and is pursuing a second Master’s Degree in Human Rights.
