Include A Charity

Did you know 70% of Australians support charities? We are a generous nation during our lifetime! The trouble is only 7.5% of us include a charity in our wills.

ChildFund Australia has signed up to be part of the Include A Charity campaign along with over 130 of Australia’s most-loved charities. The campaign asks everyday Australians to think about including a charity in their will.

We’re not asking you to run out and change your will today. We know this takes time and careful consideration. We’re just asking you to consider including a gift to ChildFund Australia next time you revise your will, or when the time is right for you.

A big part of the Include A Charity campaign is raising awareness about how easy it is to leave a gift to charity in your will and why it is so important.

It's a common misconception that only wealthy people leave money to charity when they die. The reality is that most bequests are made by ordinary, hardworking people who want to make a positive difference to their community after they're gone.

Gifts in wills, no matter how big or small, can make a huge difference to the work we do. We’re encouraging everyone to think about how you can make your last wishes really count. Then when the time is right for you and after taking care of your loved ones, we hope that you’ll remember your favourite charity in your will.
