No. The Donations with a Difference program is designed to help vulnerable and deprived children around the globe, not just children sponsored by the Australian public.
Yes, you can buy as many gifts as you like. Each time you purchase a Donation with a Difference item, you will receive a gift card detailing each individual donation you have made. You can give this gift card to your friends and family to show them the gift you have donated in their honour.
Unfortunately you can't track your gift because the cost of tracking each individual item and the community it goes to would be expensive and we want your donation to get to where it's needed most.
Yes. You can sponsor a child yourself or you can choose to sponsor a child in honour of a loved one as a gift.
Yes! We are committed to supplying the exact gifts you have purchased. If however more gifts are donated than a country is able to provide, we re-allocate the funds to a similar program to help children, families and communities. The Donations in Action section of this website features photos and stories from children and families who have already benefited from the Donations with a Difference program.
As every gift in Donations with a Difference is designed to support long-term development strategies, each gift is allocated based on a needs assessment. In general, Needs Assessments are conducted in collaboration with the community and community members and leaders themselves are involved in the decision as to who is most in need. ChildFund programs are committed to community participation and self-selection.
If you're looking for a creative gift idea for your friends and family simply choose a gift from the online store that you would like to buy in honour of your loved ones. We send your funds to our ChildFund partners overseas who use the money to provide the gift you have donated to deprived children and families. You receive a gift card to give to your loved ones to show them the unique act you have performed on their behalf.
For mail order, please allow 10 days for delivery of your gift card/s. In order for you to write a personal message, we will send the gift card directly to you, and not to your friends or family. E-Cards will be delivered to the nominated email address instantly.
The receipt can only be sent out to the person making the donation ie the person's details that are given on the donation form.
