For just over $1.35 a day - or $42 a month - you can help a child and their community achieve a sustainable and positive future.

Every sponsorship dollar touches more than just one child's life as sponsorship-funded programs benefit all children in the community. Sponsorship funds are added together in order to achieve real outcomes.

All sponsorship donations over $2 are tax-deductible and GST-free. You will receive an annual contribution summary each July for taxation purposes.

What do I receive when I sponsor a child?

When you become a sponsor, you will receive:

letters from your sponsored child;
a photo of your child and their profile;
information about the projects being carried out in their community; and
your sponsor handbook.

Throughout the year, we keep you in touch with:

a postcard to introduce yourself to your sponsored child;
a fun letter writing kit;
a progress report about your child;
Childworld, our sponsor newsletter;
ChildFund Australia's annual report; and
an annual tax summary of your sponsorship contributions in July (sponsorship donations are GST-free and tax-deductible).

How long does sponsorship last?

Most children will be sponsored until they are 18 years old, however many continue with secondary school or tertiary studies and will remain on the program until they have completed their education and can support themselves.

Children may also leave the program at any time during sponsorship if their family moves from the community, or the whole community becomes self-sufficient and "graduates", no longer requiring ChildFund's support. This is the ultimate aim of sponsorship! If your sponsored child leaves the ChildFund program, we will notify you as soon as possible.

We understand financial circumstances change for sponsors as well, so we ask sponsors to contact us immediately if they cannot continue their support.
