What is child-centred?

As a child-focused organisation, ChildFund places the wellbeing of children and youth at the heart of our work. We believe in the intrinsic worth and dignity of every child and strive to create an environment of respect for children of all cultures, in which they have opportunities to realise their full potential.

Every ChildFund program is designed to improve the lives of children, within the environment of their family and community. This means that we respond to the impact of poverty as experienced by children - by addressing their physical, emotional and social needs.

ChildFund Australia is also committed to promoting children's rights, as set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
