Donations in Action – Cow, Indonesia

The gift of a cow can change the future of a family living in poverty. Families who receive livestock are also given a training to take care and breed the livestock, so in the future the families can generate income from the livestock.

One of the lucky families was the family of Taufik, a 14 year-old sponsored child.

“I love my cow. I can play with him after school,” said Taufik, who is a 2nd grader in junior high school, with his excited smile. “My favorite part is to feed him with grass,” he added. The family fetches grass every evening from nearby land. “I am teaching my children on how to be responsible with this activity,” said Taufik`s mother wisely. “We are thankful for the cow, now I have several plans in the future because of it”
