Life in Sri Lanka

Jathushan is a little boy wholives with his parents. He is Tamil Hindu boy with good health. He attends the nursery by cycle which is two km. away from his home. He has an elder brother who attends school and is in grade 3. Jathushan likes to play with toys and balls.The father is a daily laborer and earns an annual income of US$ 665. His mother stays at home and takes care of the house and the children.The community Jathushan lives in was affected by the war in the country that ended in 2009. Most of the property in the area was lost to the war. Jathushans family receive government assistance to build a house under the resettlement program. They have electricity, a toilet and a protected well. As Jathushan as a long way to go in his future his parents are unable to support him due to the poor income of his father and to maintain four members in the family, and if he gets a kind sponsor to educate Jathushan he will have a bright future and his standard of living will also improve.
