Life in Kenya

Lmeingashu is a young lively boy from Samburu county in the northern part of Kenya. He lives with his single mother, one sister and two brothers. The family lives in a simple traditional hut made of locally available materials and smeared with clay soils. Their source water is from an open well which is not well protected, thus they risk being easily transmitted with water-borne diseases. The mother is the breadwinner of the family and he does casual work of fetching firewood for sale at the nearby market centre. The income they get is not enough to cater to the family basic needs. Occasionally, they also receive some government food ration to supplements the family income. The family annual income is less than 250 US dollars which barely meets all their basic needs. Lmeingashu was identified as needy and was recommended for enrolment.Lmeingashu attends school. Your generous love, care, and sponsorship will brighten the future of this young and promising boy.
