Life in Kenya

Napanu is a jubilant girl from geographically fascinating Samburu county of the northern part of Kenya. She lives with her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. The family lives in a temporary hut built with posts and sticks with no proper sanitation. The family source of water is from a shallow well which is not protected thus risk being them being ill of waterborne related diseases. Her parents depend on the selling of firewood as her main source of income. The family also occasionally benefit from the government food ration as a supplement to their meager income. Their family annual income is below 250 US dollars which is not enough to cater to their basic needs. Napanu was referred to the project for enrollment.Napanu attends school. She likes playing with toy cars. Sponsorship will provide her the future opportunity to transform her life and those of her family and the general community.
