

Grassroots to Global is a community leadership initiative that connects young grassroots rugby leaders from around the world. Through dynamic forums, these emerging change-makers explore the barriers that prevent young people from joining or staying in rugby – and identify the key drivers that fuel participation.
The initiative takes a critical look at all forms of exclusion in the game, aiming to build an inclusive rugby community where sustained participation is the norm. Each forum acts as a launchpad for innovative project proposals – developed by youth – that directly tackle the barriers or strengthen the drivers, with the ultimate goal of mobilising community support for action.


Grassroots to Global 2025 is a flagship initiative of the Global Social Impact Partnership between ChildFund Rugby and World Rugby, bringing together female community leaders from around the world to build powerful networks, share lived experiences, and drive social change through rugby.
In celebration of Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025, the transformational partnership is seeking to support 31 National Governing Bodies globally to host national community leadership forums, which will feed into a global forum across the week of the tournament’s opening match.
