Current job opportunities

ChildFund Australia is seeking a creative and motivated Content Development and Editing Intern to support the launch of our TikTok and YouTube Shorts channels. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in short-form video production for a globally recognised international development organisation. If you are looking to build a creative portfolio while supporting children rights all over the world, this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce engaging short-form videos (15–60 seconds) tailored for TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
  • Repurpose existing campaign footage and assets into dynamic edits.
  • Ensure all video content reflects ChildFund’s brand, messaging, and campaign goals.
  • Research current trends in short-form video and recommend creative approaches.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Fundraising teams to deliver high-quality, on-brand outputs.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar).
  • Strong interest in social media, creative storytelling, and audience engagement.
  • Keen attention to detail with an ability to meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm for ChildFund’s mission to help children and communities build brighter futures.

Learning Outcomes

  • Exposure to working within a globally recognised international development charity.
  • Hands-on experience creating and optimising content for emerging digital channels.
  • Insight into how digital communications and storytelling drive fundraising and advocacy outcomes.
  • Mentorship and collaboration opportunities with senior communications and fundraising leaders.
  • Understanding of campaign planning, brand voice, and audience engagement in a not-for-profit context.
