Lexi Chambers, six-time world record holder and ChildFund Rugby Ambassador, has completed a powerful journey: 10 ultramarathons in 10 days using a non-sport wheelchair to deliver the whistle for the opening game of Rugby World Cup 2025 in Sunderland, all while raising funds for ChildFund Rugby!

On completing the Race to Women's Rugby World Cup 2025, Lexi Chambers rewrote the Guinness World Record book: - Most ultramarathons in 7 days using a non-sport wheelchair - Fastest ultramarathon using a non-sport wheelchair
Race completed. Records broken. But Lexi’s extraordinary grit came from something bigger. Every mile she pushed forward was to raise support for ChildFund Rugby, to help more girls and young women step onto the pitch, build confidence, and grow into strong leaders in their communities.
This extraordinary challenge is a call to action to support critical rugby-based life skills initiatives for children and young people around the world.
Through Race to Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, Lexi aims to raise funds and awareness for ChildFund Rugby’s work, which harnesses the power of rugby to promote inclusion, gender equity, and youth leadership.
