About ChildFund Australia

ChildFund Australia is an independent international development organisation that works to reduce poverty for children in many of the world’s most disadvantaged communities. We partner to create community and systems change which enables vulnerable children and young people, in all their diversity, to assert and realise their rights.

Where We Work

ChildFund Australia is an independent international development organisation that works to reduce poverty for children in the developing world. We have a global network of 11 organisations, and assist almost 32 million children and families in 70 countries.

The Way We Work

ChildFund Australia works in partnership with children, their communities and local institutions to create lasting change, respond to humanitarian emergencies and promote children’s rights.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at ChildFund Australia

In line with our values, we believe a diversity of people and ideas is essential to our success at ChildFund Australia.

We strive for a team culture that is welcoming, inclusive, respectful and supportive, where everyone has a sense of belonging and wellbeing.

We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid office-working from home arrangements and flexible working hours. We also provide parental leave and special leave for employees facing domestic violence.

We invest in learning and development of our people, including on anti-discrimination, anti-racism and cultural safety. This includes through membership of the Diversity Council of Australia, through which staff can access training at no cost, and our ChildFund Academy learning platform.

We have strong policies and practices in place to support a safe and inclusive working environment, and are committed to addressing discrimination of all forms, including within our organisation.

We track and report diversity metrics at ChildFund and at all levels of the organisation.
