Together, World Rugby and ChildFund Rugby are harnessing the power of rugby as a vehicle for positive social change, transforming the lives of children and young people across the globe.




A key part of World Rugby and ChildFund Rugby’s global mission to unite and uplift female leaders in rugby ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, the Grassroots to Global Series is designed to accelerate the global development of women’s rugby.
Together, we will support more than 30 National Governing Bodies to organise national community leadership forums. These national forums will lead into a global forum held during the opening week of Rugby World Cup 2025. During this event, female leaders in rugby will:
In August 2025, ChildFund Rugby Ambassador Lexi Chambers completed 10 ultramarathons in 10 days, covering over 322 miles in a non-sport wheelchair, and delivered the official match whistle for the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 opening game.
A huge thanks to Lexi for her incredible grit and determination, and to everyone who supported and made this possible. All funds raised will support more girls and women around the world to play, learn and lead through rugby!


As World Rugby's global Social Impact Partner for Rugby World Cup 2025, we were thrilled to collaborate on a range of initiatives that allowed fans to learn more about our impactful partnerships, and to directly support through a range of ways including merchandise top-ups and ticket add-ons.
