Turn on the tap for children searching for water
“Human beings cannot live without water.”
– Mary, 15, Kapelebyong District, Uganda
Right now, children like Mary are missing school because they’re walking long distances just to find water.
Your tax-deductible gift before 30 June can help bring clean, safe water closer to home.

Kids were sick with dirty water
When the roll was called at Mary’s school, she and many other children were often missing.
They weren’t just skipping school. They were searching for water.
The only water available in Mary’s community came from a polluted swamp — cloudy, unsafe and full of disease. But when you’re thirsty, you don’t have a choice.
Children drank it anyway. And many became sick.
They missed school, time with friends and the chance to simply be kids.
Water is essential for survival.
But for children, it’s also the key to health, safety and education.

Without Clean Water:
- Children drink unsafe water that causes illness
- Kids miss school while searching for water
- Girls often stay home to fetch water for their families
- Poor sanitation spreads disease

We help families:
- Access clean, reliable water sources
- Improve sanitation and hygiene
- Keep children healthy and in school
- Build systems communities can manage themselves

Now Mary can turn on a tap for clean water
In Mary's community, clean water now flows where it's needed most - at the school and early learning centre.
A solar-powered system pumps water every day, so children like Mary don't have to miss class to collect it.
With multiple taps, families no longer wait for hours. And with a reserve tank, water is there whenever they need it - today and for years to come.
