This could provide life-saving services to over 12,500 women and children per year. Women and children in Papua New Guinea (PNG) experience very high levels of violence and SGBV (Sexual and Gender Based Violence) continues to be a serious problem. It is important that all survivors of SGBV can access holistic essential support services such as medical, legal and psychosocial support. Funding will allow for training of a full cohort of counselling and operational staff to run a national helpline that provides essential support and services.
