Donations in Action – Business Loans, Vietnam

A small amount of cash can be used to make a big difference in developing communities. Ms. Phuong in Vietnam received a small business loan through the ChildFund Credit and Savings Program and has invested in animal-husbandry. She has worked very hard and has successfully increased her family’s income:

“In the first time, I borrowed to buy 4 pig stocks, and by the end of that year, I sold the pigs, paid the debt and gained money for each pig. The profit amount was spent on clothes and tuition fee for my children as well as for bettering my family’s food menu. The remaining amount was used to reinvest in animal raising and planting. For me, the credit and saving program of ChildFund is very helpful to the poor like us. Borrowing procedures are very simple and we are carefully trained about how to efficiently use the borrowed money”.
