Your donation can help families who have been most affected by COVID-19, specifically families with children under the age of five, people with medical conditions, and families who have lost income.
In Kenya, food packs typically contain 24kg of maize, which is a staple food used in many dishes. It also includes 10kg of nutritious beans, peas or lentils and 2L of oil for cooking. In addition to food, vulnerable families also receive clean water, soap and other basic necessities.
How this gift helps
Families living in remote villages in Timor-Leste struggle to access enough food to feed their children. After her husband died, Joseta moved into a home with her children and her mother, and three other families. Poverty and a lack of nutritious food had been detrimental to the health of the family, particularly to Joseta’s youngest child Graciano. Joseta says, “The biggest challenge for me is there is no food to feed my children.” Your gift today will help provide nutritious food that children and families might otherwise go without. This is an extremely important need. Every gift will make a difference!
