The International Day of Charity provides a platform for NGOs to educate the wider community, including corporate and government officials, about the significant role of charity in eradicating poverty, promoting education, creating inclusive and resilient societies, and addressing a plethora of humanitarian issues. The United Nations General Assembly established the International Day of Charity in resolution A/RES/67/105 on 5 September, the day of Mother Teresa’s death anniversary.
